Develop a sustainable fundraising campaign for one of the largest Ukrainian fuel retail networks OKKO to support the “Dronopad” project of Come Back Alive — a Ukrainian foundation that supports the military through systematic fundraising.
The challenge was to move military fundraising beyond one-time emotional spikes and build a mechanism that could generate stable monthly donations of 20 million UAH while keeping audience engagement high.
Military fundraising campaigns usually start strong but quickly lose momentum.
So instead of treating donations as a communication outcome, we treated the campaign as a digital product with game mechanics.
We designed Dronopad as an interactive living system where every refueling turned into a purposeful contribution.
The core metaphor was simple — more fuel means more support for drones.
Donations were transformed from a one-time gesture into a repeatable ritual.
We integrated a game inside the loyalty app Fishka.
Every PULLS refueling activated progress toward the Dronopad fund — turning everyday fuel consumption into micro-donations.
To strengthen motivation and repeat engagement, we introduced a reward system and animated in-app interactions that visualized campaign progress.
